Led Zeppelin (レッド・ツェッペリン)
1968年から1980年まで活躍したイギリスのロックバンド。ハードロックやヘヴィメタルの元祖と言われている。名実共にロック界を代表する世界的なバンド。
しかしハードロックやへヴィメタだけにとどまらず、ブルース、フォーク、トラッド、ファンク、レゲエ、ソウル、カントリ、ロカビリー、インドや中近東系の音楽に影響を受けた楽曲など幅広く、多様な音楽性を内包したバンドでもある。
略称は、ZepもしくはLed Zep。
なお、「ツェッペリン」はドイツ語の発音であり、
英語の発音は「レッド・ゼプリン」に近い。
